CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Lizzie Hahr, Children's Minister
children@tumcfl.org • 407-949-2154

My faith story: I was blessed enough to be brought up into a Christian home. Growing up, I loved going to Kids Church and Youth group where I was taught about the love of Christ. I made the decision to follow Jesus when I was 9 years old. I am the 3rd oldest of nine children & always remember teaching my younger siblings about Jesus. I felt a call to ministry when I was 16 years old. When I was 19, prayers were answered & I was able to attend a Christian college. Then the Lord led me & my husband to TUMC where I was brought on as the Children’s Minister. I know I am right where the Lord wants me!

What do I like most about TUMC? I love the genuineness of the people here. Everyone is so loving, giving and truly shows what being the body of Christ means. From the first day I was here, I felt welcome. TUMC has become my home away from home.

What I do in my spare time: I spend time with my husband Troy and our two Australian Shepherds, Baby and Belle. Troy & I love taking walks when it’s not too hot out and we also enjoy watching movies together. We are pretty simple, but we like it that way.

Why children’s ministry? Children are the future church. This world is full of so many bad things that try to grab the interests of children. My heart is to make church fun & exciting and teach them about true love that only comes from Jesus. I have a heart for families, to see them growing in the Lord together.

Three words that describe me: Creative, genuine, flexible

Family life: I have 2 sisters and 6 brothers. I have a niece named Kara and a nephew, Kallen. My husband Troy and I have been married for a year and a half. He has one brother and one sister. We make a great team & feel blessed that the Lord brought him into my life!
