This weekly worship service follows the liturgy of the Morning Prayer Office with opportunities for congregational singing of hymns or praise songs, public and private prayer, offering, Scripture reading, sermon, and response through the celebration of Holy Communion each week. TUMC’s Morning song Service features acoustic worship led by pianist or guitarist. The Morning song Service occurs in the Sanctuary at 8:30AM and is 45 minutes in duration.

This weekly worship service is a blended service that uses hymns, contemporary praise songs, and gospel to gather and praise God, led by our Worship Choir and Grammy award winning choral director. We follow a four fold order of worship:

Gathering - coming together in praise and worship as the body of Christ

Proclamation - hearing the scripture read and a sermon preached to apply to word to our lives

Response - We respond to the word of God through our offering, Holy Communion, Affirmations of Faith, along with other liturgical acts.

Sending Forth - We are sent out into the world with a charge and a blessing to be the hands and feet of Jesus to transform the world.

Children are a welcome and vital part of our worship. Each child will be given a worship bag that contains items to engage in the music, a children's bulletin to engage in the word, and other resources to process the message for the day. Children are invited to sit with their families or to come down front to a special children's section.
