Meet Our Staff
Reverend Heather Harding
Pastor Heather Harding has served at Edge Memorial UMC, Mascotte UMC, and City Road UMC, and is thrilled to be back home in Central Florida. She is a graduate of Seminole Community College (A.A), University of Miami (BM), University of Central Florida (M.Ed.), and Duke Divinity School (M.Div.). Before experiencing the call to ministry, she worked as a music teacher in Dade and Orange Counties. She has two adult daughters, Brittany and Danielle, a four-year old granddaughter named Eloise, a two-year old grandson named Kit, a faithful dog named Gracie and an irascible cat named Annesley.
Linda Charlton is a professional pianist based in Lake County, where she is also a part-time reporter/photographer. She is currently the principal pianist with the Imperial Symphony Orchestra in Lakeland, where she has also played French horn. She is considered a collaborative pianist, with extensive experience accompanying and playing chamber music. She is frequently seen at the University of Central Florida, typically playing piano with advanced students, and also has a long track record as pianist / musical director in community theater, with the bulk of her shows being at the Melon Patch Players Theatre in Leesburg. She holds a master of music degree in performance on classical piano from the University of Miami.
Director of Youth Ministries and Children’s Coordinator
Alaine Gorman grew up within the Tuskawilla United Methodist Church community. She received her Bachelor’s in Business and Information Management (B.I.M.) from Seminole State College. For the last three years she has been volunteering with TUMC’s Youth Ministry and, in August 2017, took on a leadership role, alongside her parents, Deb and Bill Gorman, with TUMC’s Children’s Ministry. She has previously worked with adults with special needs and as a counselor / corrections officer within a juvenile facility in Pennsylvania. In her spare time, Alaine enjoys going to Disney with her nieces, Emma and Hope, whom she helps raise with her sister, Debby.
Contemporary Worship Leader
Alex Lilly grew up within the Tuskawilla United Methodist Church community. He currently attends the University of Central Florida where he recently completed an intensive program for computer coding and software programming. Alex currently serves as TUMC's Contemporary Worship Leader where is amazing talents lead us in contemporary Christian songs weekly. Alex will soon be creating a praise band and leading our Wednesday Family Nights with Contemporary Worship.
Nursery Servant, Children's Ministry Intern
Ashley Lilly is the Nursery Servant and also serves as TUMC's Sunday School Teacher alongside Pastor Heather Harding. Ashley currently attends the University of Central Florida and is working on her Religion Major. After graduation, she plans on pursuing her spiritual calling and attending seminary. Ashley has grown up attending TUMC with her family and we are so incredibly grateful for her charismatic connection with our Willa Kids and Nursery children.
Melissa Martin and her family have been members of Tuskawilla United Methodist Church for four years after being warmly welcomed and embraced in January 2016. Melissa is a litigation paralegal with her background in probate, collections, family law, personal injury, and foreclosure/debt defense. Melissa is married to Miguel Martin who serves as the Chair of the Trustees and they have two beautiful and happy daughters (Emily, 6 and Evelyn, 22 months). Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University with double majors in Political Science and Social Sciences. Melissa volunteers for a number of church events including vacation bible school and also serves on the Marketing and Communications Committee where her duties include creating and updating our social media posts and website. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys cooking, shopping, gardening, and carting her daughter Emily off to gymnastics practice.
Director of Traditional Worship
Mr. Riddle holds a Masters in Sacred Music from SMU, a BA in Vocal Music Ed. from USF and a Post-Bac. in Elementary Ed. from UCF. He has served as Director of Music Ministries in St. Petersburg, Tampa, Dallas, Denver, Jacksonville and Orlando as well as taught elementary music and regular classroom throughout Florida. He is married to the Rev. Dr. Barbara Williams Riddle, the founding pastor of TUMC. They have served together and he has taught or directed music. He and Barbara have two sons (Jamie & Robbie) two daughters-in-love (Julie & Kathleen) and six grandsons (Benjamin, Cameron, Sheppard, Brennan, Jack & Parker) ages 5–16. The Riddles retired in 2009, and moved to Longwood, FL to be close to their sons and their families.
